Bettina Neuhaus
Bettina Neuhaus is a dance artist based in Amsterdam and Berlin. She holds a Masters in Creative Practice Dance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in partnership with Independent Dance, London and a Masters (equivalent) in Music from the Folkwang University of Arts in Essen. She studied with Joan Skinner in Seattle, US and is a certified Skinner Releasing Teacher at both Introductory (2004) and Ongoing (2011) levels. For more than 25 years Instant Composition and collaboration with musicians, video artists and poets have been at the core of Bettina’s choreographic and performative work. In recent years her artistic practice centres around the question of how the mobile and relational nature of attention can inform process from daily practice to making into performing. Bettina performs, teaches, directs and creates performance work independently and as a guest artist for leading professional and community organizations in Europe and South America.
