Maggi Stratford
Maggi has used voice throughout her working life. She trained as a French teacher in the 70s and as a therapist in the 90s; worked in community and rep theatre as an actor and singer; taught English (and learned how to grow vegetables) while living in France; and now teaches voice and sings. "Voice – as I encountered it in 1985 via The Roy Hart Theatre – has been vital both as a creative tool and as a means of developing authentic self-expression; it's coloured all my subsequent work, whether running voice workshops, teaching voice to the transgender community, working as a counsellor, or as singer/ performer.
“I'm really happy that in the different areas of my work I can use the varied skills I've enjoyed acquiring and developing over the years". Based in Leeds for many years, Maggi teaches and performs both locally and further afield ... http://www.maggistratford.com/ |
